Since leaving the motor industry he has become a qualified business trainer and a member of the voluntary business mentor schemes for the Prince's Trust and for Business Link, now run by Midwest Rural Enterprise.
As a Business Partnership Lead Practitioner

for the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust's S'EEN programme he was involved in a pilot project to develop an enterprise agenda in schools. He continues to work with schools and colleges and has launched a programme to bring business awareness into schools (see Enterprise Awareness Days).
He is a regular contributor to Enterprise Nation, the UK's largest community of home-based business owners, which seeks to help and support the start-up and growth of home businesses.
He is a member of Birmingham Chamber of Commerce virtual policy committee and writes the monthly Random Ramblings business newsletter.

David Wike
David spent many years leading the development of product and business plans for multi-million pound programmes in the motor industry. He has worked closely with and understands all of the disciplines that go to make up a major company. He has extensive experience in facilitating business reviews, technical working parties and ad-hoc problem resolution meetings. He is a previous product strategy manager for MG sports cars.
